Routine Dental Checkup & X-ray

  • Routine dental checkup (RDC) helps you to maintain proper oral health
  • RDC is a thorough examination of your teeth, gums and mouth that will prevent minor problems from becoming major ones
  • For example, if decay is detected early, you can save your tooth from getting extracted or doing a root canal treatment.

At R.K. Dental Clinic, the three most important aspects of a dental checkup are

  • Teeth: All the teeth in the oral cavity are checked for cavities, cracks, holes, discoloration etc.,. Old fillings and crowns are also examined
  • Gums: Evaluate the health of the gums by checking for loose teeth, bone loss and bleeding
  • Tissues of the mouth: Cheeks, tongue, palate, lips and floor of the mouth are thoroughly examined for any irregularities. If caught early, many types of oral cancer can be treated successfully.

X-rays are taken based on requirement only. X-ray not only identifies the existing problem but may also alert any future problems. It is advised for the following:

  • Impacted teeth
  • Decay between two teeth
  • Any tumor or swelling
  • Jawbone damage
  • Clip/Braces treatment
